The gorges (canyons) of Kakuetta are located in the municipality of Santa Engracia, in the French Basque country, being this the second village we pass through when crossing the french border from Isaba. It's a Canyon dug by the water that emanates from the karst of Larra and whose flow reaches its peak with the thaw. Equipped with wooden walkways, is prepared for all kinds of visitors.

The Holtzarte gorges, on the other hand, are located near the village of Larrau, first village we came across the border from Ochagavía. The canyons in this case are larger, even though they are not equipped to visit as the Kakuetta. They have, however, the appeal of its suspension bridge, like those in "Indiana Jones" films but completely safe, and under which there is an impressive drop of 200 meters, not suitable for who suffers from vertigo. Up to the bridge can be reached in a 45 minute walk by a well-marked path that includes some steep slope.
